Xiaoyun (Sherry) Ling

Director of Physical Therapy

Xiaoyun (Sherry) Ling is a director of physical therapy and wellness center of Advance Pain Medicine Institute. She joined APMI since at Oct of 2016 after working as a physical therapist in DC and Maryland area the previous 8 years. Sherry has worked in hospital outpatient clinic for 6 years, and has experience with geriatrics with chronic disease, specialized with spinal disease in orthopedic and neurologic conditions. She has had the opportunity to work with orthopedic surgeon for 2 years which specialized with upper extremity injury. Sherry has solid skill to evaluated and treated patient with acute, athletic-type injuries, as well as post-operated orthopedic patients.

Sherry’s passion for physical therapy began while pursuing her master physical therapy degree at Howard University (HU). While attending HU, sherry was an Honor student and owned a Perseverance Award.

In her spare time, Sherry enjoys a wide variety of activities including walking and jogging, watching soccer games, reading, woodworking, and spending time with her son.

Angel Casul

Physical Therapist

Angel Casul began working for APMI Physical Therapy & Fitness Center in January 2017. Angel has experience working with a wide range of patients, from children to geriatrics aiming to improve their lifestyle through physical activity.

Angel is from Puerto Rico and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Puerto Rico. While in Puerto Rico, Angel had the opportunity to work in a variety of physical therapy settings, such as; outpatient clinics, home care, and child development.

Angel provides his patients with the best possible care. He remains current on the latest literature and techniques regarding manual therapy, and plans to obtain his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree in the future.

Angel is passionate about physical therapy and shares that passion with his patients. Angel educates his patients on the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle in order for them to reach their full physical potential. New to Maryland and the APMI practice, Angel looks forward to learning from his colleagues. In his spare time, Angel enjoys being with his family and staying fit and healthy.

Nathaly Escano

Physical Therapy Assistant

Nathaly Escano joined APMI Physical Therapy & Fitness Center in October 2016. Nathaly graduated from MedTech Medical School in May 2016 as a Certified Medical Assistant.

At APMI Physical Therapy & Fitness Center Nathaly helps assist the physical therapists with their patients. Patients at the center are given therapeutic exercises to help alleviate pain or regain strength and function. Nathaly guides patients through their exercise programs and helps administer the BIOwavePens, a unit that delivers therapeutic electricals signals to the pain nerves, typically used on athletic injuries.

Nathaly decided to become a Medical Assistant because she wanted to help those suffering from health-related conditions. Nathaly enjoys interacting with the patients, and watching the patients transform for the better with the help of their services. In her spare time, Nathaly enjoys going to church, drawing and painting, walking, playing tennis and being with her family and friends.
